Rehearsed Readings (New Writing)

Supporting playwrights to develop new work is something Amy enjoys and is skilled at. Having trained herself for two years on the John Retallack Playwriting Course she has a solid understanding of the playwriting process and some of the key components of craft that go into creating a strong piece of writing for the stage.

In addition to the various New Writing pieces she has directed, each of which involved elements of dramaturgical support, she has collaborated with writers Ravi Thornton, Hannah Wilkin, Pegeen Murphy and Sarah Wallis to present rehearsed readings of early-stage work.

Rehearsed Readings

As an artist I traverse multiple conflicting worlds and positions: arts/social change, director/writer, literary/visual, British/European. I have no interest in picking a side. I take great pleasure in moving fluidly between them, bringing the best of each to enrich the others in a continuous conversation between them all.
